This month’s newsletter arrives a little bit late – life seems to have become rather busy for my GG and I. When I do a reading I always ask if the person would like to receive my newsletters and when they say yes, I think to myself, “I had really better get onto this months!”
My GG had to do some work out at Caroona (out west near Coonabarabran and Gunnedah) so I thought that I would tag along and see if anyone wanted to have a party, we drove out with our little caravan which doesn’t have a bathroom and parked in the church grounds, we are very thankful to the owner of the truck stop (that’s all there is at Caroona) for allowing us to use their shower facilities at no charge and we had use of the church toilet …. Which was literally just a very, very old fashioned ‘drop dunny’ with a wooden seat with a hole in it, that has been there since the church was built. LOL The structure had a lovely lean to it and you couldn’t shut the door, so it was a room with a view! If I could attach a picture I would.. – so I ended up being incredibly busy with a party on the Monday and also the Tuesday and then we drove back on the Wednesday. There is something incredibly magical about the outback at night, all those stars are just phenomenal and so very beautiful.

My GG and I are heading to New Zealand at the end of April for a couple of weeks, we have had our flights booked for ages and that’s about it! We will just hire a car and drive around the south island and I would love to see Rotorua in the north island – as we land in the north that will be our first port of call – if you live in NZ and can offer some ideas of what to go and visit, please drop me a line!

My big news this month is that my book Christian to Clairvoyant is finally available for purchase through my website! Woohoo!! The cost is $10 and $5 for postage, this is available for anyone in Australia or you can buy it directly from me at my rooms or if I come to your place to have a party – I usually carry a few in the boot!

On Sunday, 12th April I will be speaking at the Central Coast spiritualist church – it is at 80 Whyong Road, Killarney Vale and starts at 2.00pm – I would love you to come along and say hello, I will also have my books there for purchase and signing if you would like to buy one.

I’m doing a fundraiser that will be at Cessnock – this is for cancer research – and is actually already booked out! I will be doing a talk and then going around and giving people a reading, it will be a lovely small group and I’m really looking forward to doing this and a big thank you to Anthony Burke for organsing it and inviting me along.

My ongoing commitment to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter High Tea at both Terrigal and also Magenta shores will also be taking place this year – the first is on Sunday, 24th May at Magenta Shores and then later on in the year, I will be at the Crowne Place, Terrigal for their high tea there – I charge $5 for 5 minutes and 100% goes to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, I donate all of my time to all of the charities I work with, I have never nor will I ever charge a ‘performance fee’.

With April on our doorstep, here in Australia we will be thinking of Mother’s Day gifts, so for the hard to buy for here are some ideas :-

• A gift voucher from me for a ½ hour reading – this may be purchased through my website www.katrina-jane.com
• Purchase my book and have a personal message written to mum in the cover – again through my website www.katrina-jane.com
• If mum is a pet lover – have David draw her favourite pet – he’s absolutely amazing! You can contact David at isketch@bigpond.net.au and check out his amazing talent at www.houseportraits.com.au
• Have an astrology reading done with Michelle Oberdorf (Michelle does the astrology in this newsletter and her details may be found there.
• If mum is a garden lover – get in contact with Sue Kohl and get some ideas for organic and permaculture gardening from her – Sue’s details will be found at the bottom of her contribution this month about Feverfew.

Finally, April brings Anzac Day here in Australia and New Zealand and it will be a special one this year, being the 100 year anniversary of that horrific conflict that happened at Anzac Cove. Far too many men and women lost their lives in this war and in every war since. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a world without war, that people could just sit down and nut things out, that there was no power play for supremacy or control. My thoughts go to anyone who has lost a loved one in a war and also for all of those whose loved ones are in the armed forces and do what they must to help others.

Till next month…..

Feng Shui – where to live
Just another small tip in regards to Feng Shui – a block of land that is classed as a money magnet site is because it attracts the most prosperous currents of wind and water to you. In this peaceful environment relationships flourish and so do careers and as a result the universe will shower you with month. A site that is halfway up a hill or slope, looking onto gently moving but not stagnant water is conserved wonderful Feng Shui. A second money magnet site lies at the inner most point of an ocean or river bay, where water flows towards you, if you live on the outer part of the bay it’s not as good because money passes you by. It’s also not lucky to live on top of a hill but halfway up the slope. Also avoid the top or bottom floors of a skyscraper, the tallest house in the street or on an exposed promontory. Another few to avoid are living opposite a T-intersection as the energy rushes to the house, at the end of a ‘dead end street’, next to a school as they all create too much energy. Living opposite a church is not a good idea either as the energy can be very sad with lots of unhappy occasions occurring there (funerals). If you look back at previous months where we dealt with the nine celestial cures – you will learn what to do to help avoid any ‘bad luck’ – growing green hedges to help block out the energy etc.

It’s never too late …….to visit a church
It doesn’t matter which one and you don’t have to be religious to visit. It’s about going into the building, sitting down and enjoying the peace and tranquility that you will find there. When you sit in that quiet space you can shut out the world for just a little while, take the time to explore your spirituality, think of your loved ones here and who have passed. Meditate. Pray and just relax, you may be surprised at what you discover about yourself.

April Crystal by Katrina-Jane

If you were born in the month of April, certain gem stones have more vibrational power and healing for you than other stones because they are associated with the time of your birth. Over the centuries there have been numerous traditions connected to a particular gemstone so therefore, you may have more than one stone for your month.
April stones may be either diamond, crystal quartz, Imperial topaz, red coral or moonstone – I am going to touch on red coral for you this month.
Red Coral – Coral symbolizes life and blood force, it is used for stimulating the bloodstream. Pink shades restore harmony to the heart. It is also used as an aid in depression, lethargy and nutrient deficiency. It is also a good tool to help with visualization and meditation. And it is associated with the Base Chakra.

A message from Kuan Yin through Nathan Ho

“To be an agent of change, one has to be the catalyst for change too. As with each of you, the desire for change comes from the need to continue growing, changing and evolving, leading you to walk the next road of your life in a continual and consistent manner. It is your intention and your desire to move past the obstacles of the past to clear the way, to pave the road, for a successful journey ahead into the future and beyond. Every moment you are creating, and you need not be delayed by things from the past. It is up to you to look at the past and to recognize it with the perspective that respects who you were, who you are now, and all that you can be. Realise that your true potential comes from the place within you that acknowledges you as a spirit and as a Divine, holy child of love and creation. Awaken this child and bring them back to the surface. Shine your light upon them and welcome them back into your life, as if you were to call back parts of yourself that had strayed from the path. In your acknowledgment of these different parts of you, you reintegrate different aspects of yourself and you make clear to yourself, your testing boundaries, strength, character and true nature. There is no need to judge or be hard on yourself, rather it is about loving yourself and knowing that you are enough just the way you are. You always have been and you always will be. Accept yourselves without delay and love continuously in each moment to come. Love lights and leads the way.”

Feverfew – natures Aspirin by Susan Kohl
Feverfew originated in the Southeast of Europe, it derives from the Latin word Febrifugia which means fever reducer. Its first recorded use was in the first century (AD) by Herbalist – Dioscorides as a anti-inflammatory. It is a perennial biennial vigorous plant, which can grow up to 60 centimetres high it has white petals and yellow inserts. It is a strongly scented flower that is very attractive for bees. It can be confused with the Chamomile plant but the Chamomile is a finer plant. This robust plant when planted in a bed is rewarding as it will flower continuously, as it spreads out through the bed. It can be divided in spring and autumn or it you can take cuttings from the base of the plant as long as it has a heel. This plant loves a well drain site and really grows well in manure rich soil. This plant works well in your vegetable garden because insects do not like the plant because it contains pyrethrum and so helps to keep away unbenefial insects.
You can collect the flower heads in summer when in full bloom and dry them out on a fly screen, do not expose them to direct sunlight when drying. If the flowers are not cut regularly they will go to seed, you can buy these plants from a Nursery but check for the botanical name Tanacetum parthenium. During the Middle Ages this plant was used as a general tonic to treat a fever and also to overcome hang-over’s from alcohol and opium. The active ingredients in feverfew include parthenolide and tanetin, this plant has been used to help with Migraines, headaches and arthritis, but long term use can result in withdrawal symptoms, so you must consult your herbalist before using it on a long term basis. This plant can course side effects that can include; diarrhoea, vomiting, flatulence and abdominal intestinal pain and mouth ulcers. This plant is also great for insect bites just grab the flower and rub onto the affected area. You can also make a strong tea and use it to kill insects on your plants because of the pyrethrum content in the flower it is a great insecticide.
This plant when ground down can be made into capsules and taken just like an Aspirin, it is better if you use your own ground plants than the Commercial plants as it has been found that they are more potent. If you have difficulty breathing I suggest you make a strong tea and add honey, great for coughs, colds and asthma.
To make Feverfew Capsules; use the freshly dried flower heads and ground using a pestle and mortal Dosage, take one or two capsules each morning or 1 capsule every few hours if pain is acute.
Fever few Infusion: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over one or two teaspoons of flowers and infuse for 10 minutes. Take half of the cup every hour at the first sign of a migraine or you can take ½ every morning as a preventative, and you can add honey or lemon to taste.

PARTIES for a big group – hens’ day, baby showers – this is where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc. and it is $25 per reading these readings are not recorded because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish, I am also happy for them to record on their phones.

GROUP OF FRIENDS – I have had numerous enquiries about parties and how many people you need to host one. It obviously depends on where you live – if you live about an hour from Newcastle CBD, I would need a minimum of 8 people having 15 minute readings ($25 each) if you want to have ½ hour readings ($50 each) then a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people would be appreciated. If you live within a 2 – 2.5 hour drive, then a fee of $50+ to cover travel costs will be required, depending on how far you are away. And it would be a minimum of 6 x ½ hour readings and a maximum of 8. I am also okay with a mix of readings as in some having ½ hour and others 15 minutes. These are all recorded and emailed to you within 24 hours.

BABY READING – This is for the new member of the family, a general one page reading giving an outline of their personality, areas of interest and things they may achieve and also some hints in regards to the more negative aspects of their personality and how to understand them.
