Wow, June is going to be such a busy month for me on a personal level. We sold our unit so I have been busily packing, which of course, also includes going through things and doing a clean out. Settlement is on the 7th June and then the following weekend my son and I are flying to Perth for my Grandfathers 90th birthday! I was meant to be going to Dubbo on the last weekend of June, but I have postponed that because if I went, I truly think I would be burning myself out. So I am hoping that will be in July or August sometime.
I was very excited to be asked to attend the Westpac Rescue helicopter service fundraiser on Sunday, 20th May. There were 90 ladies at a high tea and it was a wonderful time, I had a line-up of at least 4 people at a time, it was nice and fast – 5 minutes for $5 and I didn’t stop from 2 – 5pm, even though it was supposed to finish at 4.30pm! Some of the lovely ladies got me a coffee, and a lamington and then some little scones with jam and cream, so thank you to them! I truly enjoy doing these kinds of things, where it gives me a chance to help out a good cause.
Did any of you celebrate Samhain (Halloween)? I didn’t do the whole proper altar with red apples and fallen leaves, I just had my Buddha statue surrounded by lit candles (if you watch my facebook page, you would have seen a photo). I then just meditated and asked my loved ones who have passed, and there are a lot of them, to come through if they wanted to. Before I started I asked my husband if he wanted to say hi to anyone and one of the people he mentioned was his grandmother, she came through very strongly talking about beetroot juice (fresh) and then showed me a man’s wallet, I didn’t understand what she was doing but when I explained it to my husband, he told me that she always used a wallet and not a ladies purse! So that was a beautiful confirmation for him to receive from his Grandmother.
If anyone is wondering why I celebrated Halloween on 30 April and not 31 October, it is because the pagan festivals are relative to the time of year, not the date, so here in the Southern Hemisphere that means at the end of April. I mean think about it, why would we be honouring those that have passed in Spring when life is coming forth? It’s the coming of winter and everything dies off so a wonderful time to think of our loved ones.
YULE
We are coming into the time of year when we celebrate what is traditionally known as Yule, this year it is celebrated on the 21st June.
It is a festival to celebrate the re-birth of the sun and it is during the winter solstice which is the shortest day of the year (so why do we celebrate Christmas in summer, here in the southern hemisphere??) This is a time to turn your face towards the sun and welcome its energy into your body. Let go of negative thoughts and re-energise yourself and start looking forward to longer and warmer days. It is also a time when we look at our shadow side that part of yourself that you might wish to accept more or maybe improve and think about ways to do this.

The Full Moon this month occurs on June 4 and is a partial Lunar Eclipse with the Moon at 14 degrees Sagittarius and the Sun in the opposite sign of Gemini at 14 degrees. An Eclipse is an intensified Full (or New) Moon, with the Full Moon a culmination time, or a time for change and releasing. Sagittarius is the sign of the higher mind; higher education, teaching, law, philosophy, travel, publishing, religion, beliefs, justice and morality. Gemini is the sign of communication; speaking, reading, writing, learning, the rational mind, information-gathering and dissemination, and making connections. I have been guided to drop my one hour reading option. I don’t know why but I keep being told to just do ½ hour readings and I do find it less draining on myself to keep them at the ½ hour.

The mini tarot readings that I have been doing via my Facebook page seem to be well received. For those of you who are unaware of what I have been doing, I have been randomly doing tarot readings on no given day when I am inspired to pick someone who has “liked” my facebook page – So make sure you “like” my facebook page.
I try to do this at least once a week and usually put a message saying I am going to do 4 readings and then people say ‘yes please” and I randomly select either from them or just from those that have liked my page, this obviously depends on when I have time!!
But I see it as a little thank you for your support. The message will be put on my facebook page with your name on it.

On Thursday of last week I drove up to Port Macquarie to surprise mum for her birthday and take her out to lunch.
Now, my mum and step-father are still very strict Seventh-Day Adventists (I was brought up one) and my mum deals with what I do by referring to it as “counselling”, which in retrospect is something that I kind of do, but it’s intuitive counselling and my step-father, well, he has no idea what I do at all! I do get torn about this, one I just want to say what and who I am, but on the other, I couldn’t be bothered dealing with the religious lecture that he would try and give me so I just don’t say anything, mind you if he asked me what I did, I would just tell him but at this stage I just couldn’t be bothered rocking the boat just for the sake of it.
Which leads me to the whole thing of religions – I love that saying that floats around Facebook which says “Freedom of religion includes mine”. And that is so true! Our world is a mixing pot of different things, people with different beliefs to mine and yours, but not only that, look at nature, there are more than one colour of flower or one vegetable and they all get together just fine. There is no one right way that has precedence over all others, it’s about acceptance of who and what we are. This is what makes us all interesting!
For instance, if you decide that you don’t like mushrooms are you going to go around telling people that they’re not allowed to eat mushrooms anymore? I don’t think so. All you have to do is not eat mushrooms yourself, but don’t condemn those that do love mushrooms and eat them.
The same goes for your personal religious or pagan or atheist or whatever views. I am happy being who I am and I love what I do, but just because it might not gel with what you believe, don’t run me down or condemn me for it, let us learn to appreciate all the differences in the world, accept them as they are and you know what? You might even learn something.
As most of you know, my husband and have sold our unit and are moving, so the packing has started, because we have moved so many times, we actually don’t have a lot of “stuff” compared to some and yet, I’m still getting rid of stuff!!
I do love the whole going through cupboards and drawers and cleaning things out, it really is a form of cleansing for me, anyway, in doing so, I came across this poem that I use to look at every day when my son was little and I thought that I would share it all with you today, because it is something that I truly believe in.
CHILDREN
If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn,
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.

I really struggle with people who are unethical or just don’t think before they tell people things.
The case in point is my husband told me that a friend of ours (who actually isn’t really a friend anymore) was delving into numbers or something and did a number reading on him and told him something along the lines of he would get his act together and understand his life and then drop dead! What??? Seriously, you DO NOT say this kind of thing to anyone! This person didn’t have any qualifications to do this, it truly is a case of “a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous”, that would be like me doing a palm reading for someone, I understand a bit but no-where enough to do it properly, so therefore I don’t attempt it at all.
If you are starting to dabble in the spiritual side of things, do be aware that the information you get can be very hurtful and tact is an essential thing to learn – also remember that no matter how kindly you try and give information, sometimes the person just doesn’t want to hear it and will bite your head off anyway – I’ve learnt that this is their issue and not mine, I just deliver the message and I always do my best to deliver it with love and kindness and tact and most important of all to be non-judgmental. I’m not perfect and I make mistakes but I also don’t try and give information to people that I know nothing about, I know what my limits are.

Autumn is here! I do have to admit that it is my favourite time of year, I just love those cool nights and crisp mornings but when the sun is shining it’s not too hot. Bliss. Some of you already know that Chris and I went to the USA last year and I was so excited to be there in their Fall. Driving through the State Forests and seeing all the trees with their leaves beautiful burgundy, orange and yellow was just so beautiful. We came to the conclusion that I am a Northern Hemisphere girl, that’s where I should be living, but then he’s a Southern Hemisphere boy, so what to do?
Does anyone know what time of year it is? Well, if you turned the Wheel of the Year upside down to allow for the fact that we are in the Southern Hemisphere it is Samhain (pronounced Sow-en), which is more commonly known as HALLOWEEN. This is the time of year when the dead do walk alongside us and is believed to be the time when the veil between life and death is at its thinnest. It is a time when those that have passed will come to you in your memories and inspire your dreams.
Halloween falls on Monday, 30th April this year and if you want to celebrate, go for it!
This is a night to celebrate death as a part of life, a time to remember your ancestors and those who have passed. It’s not about witches and goblins and the like, it is a time to honour our ancestors and loved ones and to reconnect with the souls that are no longer in their physical form.
I think that it is just so wrong that the commercialism of this night is starting to come to us here in the Southern Hemisphere, but it’s all wrong! They are pushing the DATE and not the TIME OF YEAR, which is what it’s about, I mean think about it, why would we be honouring those that have passed in Spring when life is coming forth? There is a quote on my little calendar today which goes like this:-
“I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do, because I notice it always coincides with their own desires” – Susan B Anthony
In a way, I actually agree with that, which must sound weird coming from someone who is doing what she knows she is supposed to be doing! But I kind of fell into this kicking and screaming in a way as it goes against everything I was brought up to believe.
But I think what Susan is getting at, is people use the excuse of “this is my purpose” or whatever just as an excuse to go and do whatever they want, without thought or care for those around them.
As I’ve said before, this is a bugbear of mine, I really don’t like people just throwing in the towel when there are others happiness at stake and I do understand that a fine line could be drawn in regards to whose happiness is more important. If you are a parent, you’ve chosen to be a parent and that is what you are and what you should continue to do until you’re children are old enough to make some choices for themselves, this could be anywhere, depending on the child from 16 upwards.
If you have decided that you need to live in an Ashram in India for a year or whatever, I personally believe that you shouldn’t do that until you’re children are OK emotionally without you. If you are married with no children, well off you go then! That kind of relationship is different. But I believe that if you choose to be a parent, then that’s a job you have for life and you give up your dreams and desires, to an extent, so that they can be emotionally stable. If you want to go and study and can do it will still being a parent, then go for it!
Now, I know I’ll have my detractors, and that’s OK, we’re all allowed to have an opinion, but my concern here is for the children because they didn’t choose to be born (so to speak!) but at the same time, a parent shouldn’t give up their lives completely for their children for all time – kids grow up and parents should let them and at that stage, follow your dreams if you weren’t able to do it while they were still dependant on you.
My gripe is with those people who use God or Spirit or whatever as an excuse for bad behaviour or just for doing what they want. I had a lady who came to me for a reading and she was a hoarder but she was adamant that “Spirit wants me to keep these things for a future reason”. No lady, you’re just a hoarder who is using that as an excuse, which is what I told her and what she most definitely didn’t want to hear. Oh well, you can’t please them all. J

I meet some amazing people doing what I do, and I feel really blessed to have met them. I’ve also met a lot of people who expect someone to just wave a magic wand and make everything better for them, which I find incredibly frustrating.
I saw a saying on Facebook the other day and I think it’s brilliant – Life has no remote, get up and change it yourself!
A similar saying from the Christian perspective is “God helps those who help themselves”.
I have no problem with praying to your God, Angels, Spirit Guides or whomever you wish to help you along your journey, I do it myself. BUT the key that we all have to remember, is that we have to start doing whatever it takes so that your dream can happen.
Want to meet a life partner? Get off your lounge and step out of your comfort zone and go meet people.
Want to get a better paying job? Go and study so you can move up the corporate ladder.
Don’t use excuses about being too old or not good at studying, you’ll never know if you don’t give it a go. And remember that even if you don’t succeed in say, study, you would have learnt something about yourself that will help you on your journey. You may find out that the area that you wanted to study actually doesn’t interest you at all but you then go into a completely different field. Nothing wrong with that, so don’t beat yourself up about it.
Look at your life at this point, where do you want to be heading? What journey do you want to take in this wild ride of life? Then think of some things that you can do to start moving in that direction, even if it’s just baby steps. At least you’re moving.
I was asked the other day why I don’t know the Lotto numbers. Good question, why don’t I?! My belief is that my gift is to help others, now I don’t believe that I have to do that at no charge, mainly because I have bills to pay as well. If I was financial enough that I didn’t need to charge, then I wouldn’t, but I think it’s interesting the way the human mind works, if it’s for free most people don’t think it’s as good as something that they have to pay for! Why is that??
But, at the same time, I’m not doing what I’m doing to try and fleece people of their money. I am doing this because I know it is what I’m supposed to be doing and it is a spiritual service to others, I’m not in it for the self-gain, and that is whatever form that may take. I am able to help people pick themselves up from a loss, or help them move on when they feel that they’re in a stagnate situation, I help them get re-focussed on what is important and what is not.
I suppose that it boils down to the fact that if the spirit world wanted me to win Lotto, then they’d give me the numbers, but they obviously don’t and I don’t care! I’m doing what I love and that for me is worth more than all the money in the world.

What has this past month brought to you? Mabon is the autumn festival and was celebrated on 20th March. It is a time of the year when we give thanks for all that we have received over the past year, for our blessings however big or small. It is also a time to reflect and let go of those things that are no longer a part of our journey. It’s a wonderful time to write down all the things that we are thankful for and doing whatever little ritual you enjoy to celebrate the arrival of Autumn.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those that have been affected by the torrential rains here in Australia. The force of Mother Nature is something to behold, isn’t it? I have to confess that I held my breath to see if the levies in Wagga Wagga held – it’s my home town and I remember the floods so well, we didn’t have a levy back then and when North Wagga flooded, my mother went to help a lady from church clean her house and contracted Hep B and almost died, I still vividly recall how yellow mum was.
So, if you are cleaning up from floods, please be careful.
I’m looking at heading out to Tamworth to hold a workshop and do some readings, I’m also thinking I should head out to Dubbo as well. What are your thoughts?
Courses/Workshops
The developing your intuition and clairvoyance workshop was a lot of fun as always! I love to see people learn different techniques to help them open up and also how to understand what is being given to them and what is just a thought.
I held a new workshop on Saturday, 24th March with some lovely volunteers. I really enjoyed this workshop and it is a completely different kind of one to the Clairvoyant/Intuition workshop that I hold. This one is to help you get onto the path you want to be on, following your dreams and all of us encouraging you to do this and what steps you need to take to start making it happen. The feedback I got was that everyone enjoyed it so keep your eye’s peeled for when the official one will be launched!
I have had people ask me when I’m holding my next Tarot workshop, I’ve put a request into the Newcastle Spiritualist Church to see when it may be available for me to use – I’m thinking some time in May so watch this space and my website!

I am going to start having one day – I’m feeling Monday’s where you can ask a question in regards to things that are happening around you. This is NOT a clairvoyant reading, for instance as some have asked me – they have started to see owls around them, what does that mean?

Tarot/Goddess Card/Medicine Card Readings:-
I have been randomly doing tarot readings on no given day when I am inspired to pick someone who has “liked” my facebook page – I feel that these have been well received …. So make sure you “like” my facebook page to be in the draw. This may be once a week, or once a month – obviously depending on when I have time!! But I see it as a little thank you for your support. The message will be put on my facebook page with your name on it.

DISCOUNTED READINGS:-
If you have previously had a reading with me (it must be at least six (6) months ago) I am offering a special deal for the month of April – book in for a ½ hour reading and only pay $30 – that’s $10 off the current price. You must tell me when booking that you have been before – I also have a record of those that have had readings with me in my room, so I can double check.
The reason I say it must be at least six months, is I don’t believe that people should see clairvoyants too often, people start to be afraid to make a decision on their own, and we all have to make our own journeys – it’s about getting guidance to help with it.

We find that many of you want messages but are not always willing to receive them when they are given. This is especially the case when the answer is not what you are seeking. If you want the answer then you must be open to whatever is given to you, you must also be of the understanding that the answer you seek is not always going to be the answer that you find. If you don’t want to know the answer then why are you asking the question? Be aware of all the little things that happen around you every day when you are looking for a sign, we don’t always send them with a lightning bolt.
Give thanks for the answer no matter what it is and you will understand that things are not always what they seem. But that everything is given to you as part of your learning journey.
Services that I offer:
PSYCHIC PARTIES – I do party groups where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc and it’s just $20 per reading. These readings aren’t burnt to disc because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish.
FUNDRAISING – I’ve also done a few fundraisers, again which I am happy to do to help a good cause – I usually give a percentage of my takings for the day to help raise funds.
GROUP OF FRIENDS – If you don’t want to go the whole hog with a psychic party but there are four or so friends that would like half hour readings, I will visit you in your home – as long as it’s within a certain radius of Newcastle! As long as I have a private spot to sit and water to drink, I’m happy!!!
Types of readings:
I offer a few different ways to have a reading:-
- Face to face – where you come into my room here at Newcastle, this can be for an hour or ½ an hour and your reading is recorded and burnt to disc at no extra charge.
- Telephone – this is a ½ hour reading and for those that live in Australia
- SKYPE – ½ hour reading for those anywhere in the world!
- Emailed reading – ½ hour and again for those that find it difficult to come in for a reading or line a time up for a phone reading or SKYPE.
All readings are just as effective as the other, a face to face reading is no different from a phone reading, I just offer all of the above for your convenience.

We are renovating our little unit and the plumber was staying with us while doing the laundry and other bits and bobs and we were sitting down one evening watching the news and all the terrible things that were happening around the world.
I commented that to me the problems all started with greed and wanting power. Imagine a world where there were no shareholders, we would still have businesses and we would still all earn a living because we would need to, we need to buy food and pay bills all that would be the same, but the businesses were there to provide a service and pay their bills, employ staff and we would do the same with our businesses, without worrying about having to make huge profits for the shareholders.
I just feel we’ve all gone a bit mad somewhere along the line …… It probably sounds a bit idealistic and maybe the problem is that it is just too simple.
I did a reading for a lovely lady and she wanted to know when she would find contentment in her life, my answer was “when you’re happy with what you have”. To me that’s it. Be happy with what you have, you don’t need the great big house with the great big mortgage, you don’t need a wardrobe full of clothes and shoes, we could all get by with the bare minimum but we have been programmed to think that we need more and we start confusing needs with wants, so in reality we are actually wanting more not needing more.
Our happiness is how we view our life and you’re never going to find happiness outside of yourself or by buying things and that’s what we need to change.
That, in part ties in with what I first mentioned, because we are all part of the problem with our wanting more and more instead of being just content with what we have and only buying things when we truly NEED them, there’s are still enough people to make things turn over, it would all just be at a slower pace and if it then moved up to landlords charging too much rent or banks charging to much in fees …. Don’t start me!!!!
