Have you ever wondered if having an ego is a bad thing?

There’s a fine line between having an ego that is healthy and one that is over the top.

Let’s be honest, sometimes it is so hard to not let our ego’s take over.

You see it all the time, don’t you?  Those people that believe their own publicity.

They surround themselves with ‘yes’ people and then think that they can never do wrong.

At times, I feel that I’ve gone too far anti-ego.

What I mean by that is when we are so aware of our ego and not wanting it to be over the top that we end up with none at all!

For instance, when people make comments to me such as “you’re so accurate” I make sure that they know everything I get comes from Spirit.

I’m only as accurate as the information that Spirit gives me!!!

I also let them know, that I’m not always accurate, because I’m human!!!

However, we all need to learn to accept what we are good at and what we’re not.

I’m not sure if it’s because of my religious upbringing and seeing all the hypocrites preaching one thing and doing another that I’m so aware of my own ego.

You need to acknowledge when you’re good at something, or a job well done.

Accept the praise because it’s deserved.  Don’t dismiss it because then you’re giving the message that you don’t deserve it.

You’re going in the opposite direction of inflating it, you’re deflating it.

Accepting praise and acknowledgement isn’t having an inflated ego.

Don’t confuse ego with self-love because they are two very different things.

An inflated ego is someone who thinks that they can do no wrong.

They will put others down trying to push themselves up.

That they are better than everyone else.

Self-love is when you believe in yourself, that you care, love and encourage yourself.

That you’re your own best friend.

When you have self-love you are able to help others by inspiring them to do the same.
