Wisdom is within you, it’s the fear of making a decision that is crippling you.  Everyone seeks answers from outside of themselves when they should be looking within.  There is nothing wrong with asking for advice or getting people’s opinions but in the long run, the decision is yours to make and yours alone.  Why?  Because it’s your life and only you can live it.

So many people live their lives as they think that others expect them to be – and I’ll admit I’ve been one of them!  I was the good daughter, who did everything right, the good wife – I turned myself into a stepford wife, and a good mother but part-way through all of this in my life I decided that I had to do things for ME.  When I made the decision to leave my first husband my stepfather said to me “you have to do the right thing” he was implying that I should stay married due to religious reasons and also for my son (who was 4) I replied,” I’m going to, I’m going to do the right thing by me”.

I’ve done a lot of readings and have noticed that so many people are scared to leave their partner or quit their job to do something that they’ve always wanted, all because they’re scared about what their friends and family will think.  Well, I’m here to tell you that they’re not living your life, you are!  And what’s the point of living a life that you’re not happy with?

Sure, sometimes reality bites and we have to put off doing things that we’d like to do – say for instance living in an Ashram in India for a year – if you’ve got little children, they need you and that’s a sacrifice you have to make for a later time ….. why?  Because you chose to be a parent.  But don’t give up the dream and make sure you do it when you’re able, regardless of what the dream is.  In the meantime, you could do some short visits at some health retreats instead which is beneficial to you and also to your children.

Many moons ago someone once told me the following: When we’re young, we wonder what people are thinking of us, when we get older we wonder what they thought about us and when we reach old age, we realise that they weren’t thinking about us at all.

So don’t worry about what people think of you, what matters is what YOU think of you!

Have a wonderful week everyone.  Love and Light Katrina
