I’m finding it difficult to get my head around the fact that another year is ending! As this year draws to a close I wish to thank you for coming and having a reading with me, I sincerely hope that the messages that you received helped you on your journey through this life

I’m not one to get into the whole Christmas hype – I never have been, I really detest the whole commercialism of it all – though if you have friends and family that you’re able to catch up with, then that is a wonderful thing.

For those of you who may not have family or friends to share this season my thoughts and prayers are with you, it’s not a nice place to be when you’re lonely and don’t wish to be.

For those of you who don’t gel with Christmas trees and tinsel but want something more in line with Mother Earth then this is the time of year to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Now one thing to realise with any of the celebrations of Mother Earth is that you are celebrating the SEASON and not the date! Which is why we shouldn’t be celebrating Halloween on 31 October here in Australia, but should be celebrating Beltane! We have it all back to front!

The festival of the summer solstice is called Litha (pronounced Lee-tha) and is celebrated around December 20-23. It marks the longest day of the year and the shortest night and is a time of celebration, ripeness, warmth and joy. During this celebration it is time to consolidate your strengths and clear away negative thoughts and energies. It is also the time when the doors between worlds open up and through them flow the fairy folk who are delighted to be able to connect with us.

So surround yourself with beautiful summer flowers, light some candles (don’t set fire to the flowers!) or hang fairy lights everywhere and invite friends and family for a feast and together farewell the fullness of the sun and give thanks to Mother Earth.

My one day workshop

I am pleased to say that the six lovely ladies who volunteered to be my guinea pigs on the 19th November all said that they enjoyed the workshop! One comment from one of the attendees was:

On a whim, I found myself at a one day workshop to develop my psychic abilities with Katrina Jane. I was nervous about my abilities but found instant calm in Katrina’s presence. Her humour and acceptance comforted me as I became aware of my own abilities over the course of the day. I felt safe and relaxed as we explored different areas of our pschy and experienced hands on what it is to be psychic. I left not only feeling like I had learnt new skills but developed a whole new outlook on my life. My experience with Katrina was very positive and I would recommend her skills workshop to anyone wishing to enhance or discover there psychic abilities. As I have proven … No experience is necessary. Jessica D.

This reminds me that I need to update my website!

My workshops will be $145 (this price was agreed on by those that attended!) for the day and all you will need to bring is your lunch, everything else will be provided for you.

If you would like me to bring the workshop to your area, or even if you have a minimum of 6 people that would like to do it, just contact me and I’ll start arranging things!!

This month just gone:

I’ve been out to the Dolphin Centre to do readings, which is always a lovely space to go to.
Helen also organised another day for me to go out to Singleton, which, I have to say was a bit hair raising driving in torrential rain to get there!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 I was also asked to do a Psychic Party which was a lot of fun as always and certainly keeps me busy! And of course, I’ve been busy getting back into the swing of things after my holiday.

A message from: – Archangel Michael

Give thanks to Mother Earth – she works hard to provide for you. Take a moment from your busy lives to sit back and reflect on the past year that you have lived. Relive the happy moments and let go of the sad. Your loved ones never leave you, they are always around, even when they have departed their earthly bodies. Surround yourselves with beauty – and that is whatever you think is beautiful. Don’t follow trends or fashions, immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, whether the heat from the sun, or the sound of thunder in the sky, go out and dance in the rain! Keep laughing because it makes life worth living. Don’t let go of your dreams, they are what makes you the beautiful person that you are.

Just as a reminder:-

PSYCHIC PARTIES – I also do party groups where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc and it’s just $20 per reading. These readings aren’t burnt to disc because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish.

FUNDRAISING – I’ve also done a few fundraisers, again which I am happy to do to help a good cause – I usually give a percentage of my takings for the day to help raise funds.

GROUP OF FRIENDS – If you don’t want to go the whole hog with a psychic party but there are four or so friends that would like half hour readings, I will visit you in your home – as long as it’s within a certain radius of Newcastle! As long as I have a private spot to sit and water to drink, I’m happy!!!

PSYCHIC FAIRS – Salamander – Tomaree Library & Community Center, Town Center Circuit, opp the large Salamander Shopping Center, Salamander Bay – Thursday 29th, Friday 30th & Saturday 31st of December

Pacific Palms (near Forster NSW)- Pacific Palms Community Centre, Lakes Way, Pacific Palms – Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd of January 2012

Courses/Workshops

I have no more workshops planned for 2011 – as the year is drawing to a close and everyone will be gearing up for Christmas. If you would like me to bring my workshop to your area – please email me at Katrina@katrina-jane.com

Reading Days

No more reading days for 2011! I’m about to start planning 2012.

Some interesting facts about December

December’s birthstones are Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Zircon, Blue Topaz, or Tanzanite. Turquoise: To protect against evil influences, carry a piece of turquoise in a blue charm bag on a Wednesday. – A carved piece, brings good fortune into the house. It is often used as an evil eye counter-charm. – Protects against poisonous bites, blindness, assassination and accidental death. – Turquoise is known to absorb negative feelings and possess a strong healing vibration.

December’s flower is the Narcissus or Holly. Narcissus – self-love and vanity – the flower name derives from Greek mythology and the tale of the beautiful Narcissus. He ignored the lovely nymph, Echo, and so was punished by falling in love with his own reflection in a pool. Caught up in self-adoration, Narcissus died; In the place where he had sat gazing yearningly into the water, there appeared a flower that the nymphs named the narcissus. – It became a symbol of selfishness and coldheartedness. Holly- Druids believed that holly, with its shiny leaves and red berries stayed green in Winter to keep the earth beautiful when the sacred oak lost it leaves. – Holly was the sacred plant of Saturn and was used at the Roman Saturnalia festival to honor him. Romans gave one another holly wreaths and carried them about decorating images of Saturn with it. December’s trees are Hornbeam, Fig, Beech and Apple Apple Tree.In almost every culture, the apple is ripe with symbolic meaning and mythical folklore. They can signify wisdom, joy, fertility, temptation, peace, love, masculinity, and youthfulness. – Europeans, considered the apple, the “life-tree” symbol for a boy.

If there is anything that you would like to see in my newsletters, please let me know! I want them to be interesting for you all to read.

Til next month have a safe holiday season, drive carefully if you’re going to be on the roads.

Blessed be. Love and Light Katrina
