I was walking along to my rooms the other day, when I got a phone call from someone who I have done a reading for a little while ago.

He asked me “What is Faith?”  Good question!  How do you answer that?  According to my trusty little Australian Oxford Dictionary (which I hate to admit I’ve had since high school!) the meaning of Faith is “trust, belief in religious doctrine or divine truth.”  According to Wikipedia the meaning of Faith is:  “Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, concept or thing”.

I tried to explain to him that faith is having a trust that whatever happens, there is a reason for it and we have to accept that it is part of our journey, even when that something isn’t pleasant.

A lot of people seem to have Faith in God or whoever while things are going along nicely in their lives, but the minute that something happens that makes life a bit tougher, they start asking “Why me?”

Faith to me, is just accepting whatever is and trying not to question it, knowing that I can’t see the bigger picture of my life, but that God can.
