What an emotional roller coaster of a week it’s been!  For those that don’t know, I’ll repeat and for those that do know, I apologise for repeating!

My son Alex (who’s 20) has a pilonidal sinus (it’s not his nose it’s down the other end and google it for some graphic pictures and info) in short it’s horrid.  Anyway, about six months ago he had surgery to have the abscess removed which didn’t work.  So Friday a week ago, he had to go and have the same surgery done.  He was meant to be gone for an hour or so as it’s just a half hour operation, three hours later he finally gets back to his room, where I find out that there was a “little incident” as the nurse put it.  During the operation his vital signs dropped and he stopped breathing! Little incident???!!!!  They got him breathing again and he really had low blood pressure for quite a while, when first came out of surgery it was 79/34, which isn’t good.

On the Sunday they sent him home and within a couple of days he had a temperature.  He took panadol but it wasn’t bringing it down and then on the Wednesday night he had night sweats and I knew it wasn’t good, I rang his surgeon, who was on holidays and the secretary said to take him to his GP, so off to my GP we went who told me to take him to the Emergency Department at John Hunter Hospital here in Newcastle.  He rang them and also wrote a letter so we got attended to straight away.  His heart was racing, temperature up and blood pressure down, he was admitted to the hospital and had surgery again on the Friday – exactly a week later.

Well, as you can imagine I was a hysterical mess and had appointments that I was supposed to do and hubby told me to cancel them and then Friday night I was supposed to be doing a psychic party, which I was madly trying to find someone else to do.  A friend of mine who is a clairvoyant was just lovely and told me that he was going to be fine (I was too close to the situation to get anything!) and that I should be putting family first and not worrying about the readings.  Thank you Leonie!

I’m pleased to report that Alex is back home and on the mend.  The nursing staff at JHH were just wonderful.

I know that when our time is up, it’s up and there is nothing that we can do about it – no amount of praying will stop the fact that what is meant to be is meant to be.  But it still didn’t stop me stressing about my boy being in surgery twice in one week, going through the pain of it all, with the real risk of dying on the operating table.

Thank you to my guides and angels, and his to for allowing him to get through this OK.  I know that if he had passed over he would still be with me, but I would have missed him so.

I hope that you all have a wonderful blessed week.

Love and Light, Katrina
