I’ve had some people ask me about my thoughts about when animals pass over and well, here they are!  Because for a lot of us they aren’t just pets they are an integral part of the family and greatly missed when they pass away.

I know some talk about a ‘rainbow bridge’ but I don’t believe in that, I have had the spirits of animals come through when doing readings, I’ve seen golden retrievers running around the room and there are plenty of people that can hear their dog walking down the hallway or their cat sleeping on their bed after they have passed.

What I have found is that animals pass over just like humans do, they don’t wait around on some rainbow bridge for you to pass over, they’re already in ‘heaven’ or whatever you want to call it.  They show themselves to me playing with other animals or other members of the family, but as discussed last week, they are actually spirit – they’re not a real dog / cat etc in the spirit world, but they show this imagery to me so that I can let their owners know that they are OK.

All of those in the spirit world do this, show themselves in a way that we can understand so that I can pass a message on, it doesn’t mean your grandmother is actually tending to your horse or your son is playing with the cat, they’re in spirit, they don’t have human bodies but they are OK.

And yes, they do hang around to try and let us know that they are alright, just as our human family do when they pass over.

So if you think you can hear your pet doing their usual thing, chances are, that is their spirit letting you know that they’re alright.

And just to touch on animals seeing spirit – yes, they can, they are much more highly sensitive than we are!!  They most certainly see things that we can’t see which is why they sometimes act quite strangely!
