April 2014 Newsletter
Autumn is here in Newcastle, NSW the mornings and nights are becoming crisp with the sun still sending warmth through the day. There has also been some rainfall which is a blessing for so many that are desperately in need of it, but more is always needed.
While I write this the tragedy of the Malaysian Airlines plane is still a mystery with so many countries searching for the plane. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those that were on the plane.
I held my one day workshop last month and as always a fun, relaxed and enjoyable time was had by all.
OK, so I have some events that I am attending as follows:-
Sunday, 4th May – Westpac Rescue Helicopter High Tea – all information can be found on their website to make bookings etc. www.rescuehelicopter.com.au – I charge $5 for 5 minutes with 100% of funds raised going to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and hopefully will have a fellow clairvoyant with me to get more readings done!
Friday, 9th May – The Family Hotel, TAMWORTH – I will be doing a ‘show’ in the evening, 7.30pm – 10.30pm up in front of an audience and hopefully, loved ones and messages come through for those in the audience! All bookings are to be made through The Family Hotel as they are organising this event, their number is (02) 6765 7722
Sunday, 15th June – I will be the guest speaker at the Central Coast Church, 80 Wyong Road, Killarney Vale, 2pm – 4pm – come along and say hello!
Saturday, 30th August – One Day Workshop – Developing your clairvoyant and intuitive abilities
Weekend 5th – 7th September – Weekend Spiritual Retreat for March was cancelled but I am hoping that with a bit more notice we will have numbers to hold another one the cost is $440 per person and includes:
• accommodation for 2 nights – this was originally planned for Fingal Bay but I am looking at a lovely spot at Old Bar as well, which is a quaint little sea-side town, approximately 15 minutes drive from Taree, and 4 hours easy drive from Sydney (heading north). Rex Airlines flies to Taree or you can fly to Port Macquarie on Virgin Airlines which is about 45 minutes drive north of Old Bar it is a three acre property set in idyllic bushland. It is peaceful and serene, there are walking tracks and a pool. For the classes we have a large recreation room in which to do our training, so everything is in one easy location.
• 6 healthy meals as well as snacks and morning and afternoon tea (OK chocolate isn’t healthy but I’m sure it’s one of the recommended daily foods!!!!)
• A ½ hour one on one personal reading with me, which will be recorded and emailed to you.
• A mix of my workshops – Learning Psychometry, How to use a pendulum, Listening to your inner voice/guides and recognising messages, creating a vision board – setting goals, meeting your spirit guide. (These will take place on the Saturday)
• Three guided meditations
• Discussion groups – bring topics you would like to discuss, throughout the weekend.
• You will have free time to just chill out and relax or go for a walk along the beach.

It’s Never too late to …… Tell the Truth
When we begin to lie it becomes a huge burden for us to carry, the weight of them is always with us and the more we lie the harder it gets to remember the lies and what a tangled web we weave. The truth will always come out, it seems to have a way of succeeding and you know what? Lies just aren’t worth the struggle that they cause. When you tell the truth it clears the air, lifts the burden and liberates us and you can live with a clean conscious as well.
Feng Shui – Basics
I bring to my newsletters some little bits and pieces of Feng Shui, which is pronounced Foong Schway, you can always go to my website to read my previous newsletters.
Each month we have been touching on the Celestial Cures, which are just ways to adjust the qi life energy flowing through your home and garden.
This month it’s the Seventh Celestial Cure – is Moving Items – things like fountains, wind vanes, mobiles, windmills, grandfather clocks – you get the drift. A seventh Celestial cure that moves in a circular direction invites even better Feng Shui, which is why fans are also included! So put some whirly gigs in your garden, get a fan or a clock with a spinning pendulum.
April Feng Sui – by Dean French
The month of April starts on the 5th according to the Chinese Calendar. It is the Month of the Yang Earth Dragon, where Earth Qi is the over-riding Element. In the Xuan Kong Flying Stars form of Feng Shui, one of the traditional and most accurate of schools, the Metal Star 6 flies to the centre.
For the Central Palace we have the annual 4 Wood star being under stress from the 6 Metal. This indicates arguments and falling out in relationships –on again off again. It can also indicate lower back pain. The cure is to use Water to drain the Metal and boost the Wood. Simply place a small jug or bottle of water directly into the middle of your home to help. A blue rug or decorative item would work as well.
The South Palace has the annual great 8 Earth star along with the monthly 1 Water. This energy is excellent for fame and gaining recognition. If you know what your homes ‘natal chart’ is, then you could try a water feature here. If you don’t then please do not add a water feature as you could inadvertently activate a nasty star. To play it safe, the way to assist this energy is to add 8 Citrine crystals, preferably in a red bag.
The Southwest Palace has the 1 Water annual, and the aggressive 3 Wood star together. This combination indicates gossip, backstabbing, arguments and thieves. The SW is the Mother Palace as well, so this energy will affect the oldest woman in the house adversely. Place Fire here to burn away the negativity of the 3 star and bring balance to the Mother Trigram. This can be a candle, incense or just something red to decorate.
The West Palace has an interesting combination of 6 Metal annual where the monthly star flies. This is a good combination for property investments and making money through work and effort. There is a danger of being greedy, and of overworking to point of loneliness though. It can be activated with a small bag of crystals that has 6 I-Ching coins added.
It is best to keep the Northwest Palace as quiet as possible not only in April, but for 2014. The monthly 7 Metal is combined with the annual 5 disaster star. It indicates illness to do with the mouth, drug use, ulcers and losing money to con-men. Use Water to drain the Metal away, some Wood Qi (ie a plant or two) will help to keep control of the 5 star.
The North Palace is not very good for health, especially for women with the 2 sickness combining with the annual 9 Fire. Since the 2 is Earth, it drains the positive 9 Fire energy. The traditional cure is a gold calabash (gourd), but Metal can also be used, as can the colour white for purity.
The monthly 9 Fire goes to the Northeast Palace where the annual 7 star resides. This is interesting in that the 9 star is good for future money, but the 7 star means thieves and legal problems. Guard your investments if this area is active in your house (ie kitchen, lounge or office). Adding Water with Wood here will make sure the 7 Metal is weakened and the 9 Fire is strengthened.
The annual 2 star clashing with the monthly 4 star in the East Palace indicates problems between mothers and daughters, abdominal problems and bad decisions made by young women when it comes to sexual partners. Since the East represents young men, there is an indication of arguments and violence between young men and women if this direction is the girl’s bedroom. To weaken the potential, add Metal and Water. The easiest way is to place 6 coins in a jar of water and place this directly in the East.
Lastly, the Southeast Palace is poorly afflicted in April with the annual 3 Wood star playing host to the monthly 5 star. The problems will be mainly for young men, so make sure to add Metal (coins, white, metal decorations) to drain the 5 star and control the 3. Make sure there is no Fire in this direction for April!

“Shine Brightly” – Amaterasu – through Nathan Ho
“Regardless of where you see yourself in life, you have the opportunity, the choice to shine brightly. In whatever situation that you find yourself, keep in mind that you have the power to influence how you experience life and what you experience. Life is not about being controlled or influenced solely by outside forces, for it is what lies within you that gives you the power to make those changes. Others may tend to share their input with you, and whilst they mean well, at times it is counter productive to what you have been through. It is like who is not stepping in your shoes telling you how to walk. Accept without judgment and be discerning, for it is through your heart, mind, and body, that the Divine light shines and expresses itself in ways that match your resonance of being. Shine in the ways that are most suitable for you, and in doing so, you are being free, authentic, and true to your word in every sense. Live and lead life by example, set yourself free from restraint, knowing that your efforts multiply. The energy builds and you shine brighter and brighter and brighter. Keep yourself focused on flickering, burning, illuminating every aspect of your life, even in the ‘dark’ times that covers and concerns the masses. Shine your light and be an example, be a teacher, as one who shares the responsibility of upholding magnificence and radiance in perfect image of the Divine Child that you are and always have been. Honour who you are, past, present, and future. Life continues to change and transform, so let it work for you and make the best of it.”

Astrology – by Michelle Oberdorf
Spotlight on: Aries (March 21 – April 20)
From Friday March 21 until Sunday April 20, 2014 we move into the time of year where the Sun occupies the sign of Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and coincides with the Vernal Equinox, signifying the start of Autumn (or Spring in the Northern Hemisphere). Aries is a Cardinal sign (along with Cancer, Libra and Capricorn). The Cardinal modality signifies the changes of the seasons. Cardinal energy is initiatory; they are action-oriented starters and like to “get new things going.” Aries is one of the signs (along with Leo and Sagittarius) which is also associated with the Fire element concerning inspiration, optimism, energy and animation. Some keywords for Aries include: initiative, action, drive and enthusiasm. Arians may be pioneering, courageous, spontaneous, impulsive, assertive, self-motivated, independent, direct, self-oriented and headstrong.
Aries is ruled by the Warrior planet Mars. Some keywords associated with Mars include: daring, competition, anger, sexuality, being entrepreneurial, and active. Strong Martian types, or people with Mars dominant in their chart could display these tendencies (eg Mars in Aries, (in Dignity) or Scorpio (Mars in its co-Ruling sign), Sun in Aries, many personal planets in Aries (which are the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) or Mars in the 1st house of personality (“Accidental Dignity”). In the body, Aries rules the head, and Mars rules the blood, the adrenal glands, the genitals and represents our energy and stamina. People with a strong Mars are susceptible to “burn-out,” anger, burns, cuts and scrapes, and possibly accidents.
Currently, Mars is Retrograde (appearing to move backwards in the sky), from 1 March to May 19. He is making his way through the sign of Libra (its sign of Detriment as Libra opposes the sign Mars rules, Aries). Mars’ energy is therefore turned inwards; it is difficult for him to direct his energy forwards and outwards at this time. This can result in frustrations and delays with plans not moving ahead, especially in the area of one to one partnerships (the area ruled by Libra). It is not the time to initiate anything new but rather a time to review and revise existing relationships and/or the area of the horoscope Mars is residing in in your chart.
Further, as Mars continues his backtracking he will form part of an exact, and rare, Cardinal Grand Cross on 22 April. Mars is at 13 degrees Libra, with Uranus opposing at 13 degrees Aries. Pluto is squaring Mars at 13 degrees Capricorn and Jupiter squares Mars at 13 degrees Cancer. This is a potent and intense combination which may see tensions boil over socially, economically and politically, along with shifts and transformations within our own lives as competing energies vie to be number one.
Next month’s Spotlight is on Taurus.

PARTIES for a big group – hens’ day, baby showers – this is where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc and it is $25 per reading these readings are not recorded because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish, I am also happy for them to record on their phones.
GROUP OF FRIENDS – I have had numerous enquiries about parties and how many people you need to host one. It obviously depends on where you live – if you live about an hour from Newcastle CBD, I would need a minimum of 8 people having 15 minute readings ($25 each) if you want to have ½ hour readings ($50 each) then a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people would be appreciated. If you live within a 2 – 2.5 hour drive, then a fee of $50+ to cover travel costs will be required, depending on how far you are away. And it would be a minimum of 6 x ½ hour readings and a maximum of 8. I am also okay with a mix of readings as in some having ½ hour and others 15 minutes. These are all recorded and emailed to you within 24 hours.
If there is anything that you would like to see in my newsletters, please let me know! OR if you have something that you would like to contribute, I am happy to hear from you. I want them to be interesting for you all to read.
Blessed be.
Love and Light Katrina
