Choices
One of the great things about being a child is that life’s big decisions are made for us, where we live, what we eat, where we go to school all that kind of thing, the choices are made for us.
As adults we have the ability to make the choices ourselves, though I have found that so many of us struggle to make the choices that they need to make. I know that it can be more complex than this but it boils down to one simple thing, you have a choice. Whether you want to make that choice is another matter, but if you don’t like where you are at, it is up to you to choose to do things differently, it’s not an easy task sometimes and as I just said, I know things can be more complex and it’s not a simple thing, but we all have to realise that the buck stops with us. If you’re not happy with your life then ask yourself why? Is it something that you are doing or something that someone else is doing, if it’s something that you’re doing what can you do to change? Are you willing to make the change? If not, then that is your choice. If it is something that someone else is doing, how you respond to what they’re doing is again your choice.
I do believe that we are all a product of our upbringing, how we deal with things, how we respond to things, but as adults, we need to learn that we can’t continually blame our parents, friends or whomever if we’re not happy with where we are at.
The only person who can change things, is you.
You are the one that holds your happiness in your hands, no-one else can do that, it is something that you need to work on and want and then set out to achieve.
Don’t say you don’t have a choice, because you do, it’s whether or not you have the courage to make the choices necessary, for the situation that you are in, but remember we all have a choice.
