Detachment is something that you can implement in your life.
I don’t often like using the word ‘laws’ when it comes to spiritual things.
This is because you often have people that stick to them like glue and take it as a sign of their accomplishments if they ‘do’ a law ….
OR
They use it as a stick to measure how ‘spiritual’ someone is.
Urgh.
Anyway, practicing detachment is something that I have learnt to do, believe me, it wasn’t easy.
as I am actually a controlling person (with myself, not others).

How do you actually practice detachment in that spiritual sense?

For starters, it doesn’t mean that you’re uncaring!
What it does mean is that you aren’t investing your energy in others or their achievements.
Here are some points for you to consider and start implementing in your life to help you get to that true detachment stage.

1. Allow others to be who they are.

Yes, parents, I’m talking to you!

But not only parents those who think people should be living their lives they way that they believe that they should be.

Remember, that we’re all on our own journey and we’re all going to do things differently, just let them be to make their own mistakes, that’s how you learn!

2. Allow yourself to be who you are

It’s not always easy to understand this one!

When you strip away the fear of judgment, what others may think and what society thinks you should be.

That’s when you find who you truly are.

Connecting with your soul, with what makes you feel calm.

Be that person regardless of what others may think.

Embrace you.

3. Don’t force situations

How many times have you tried to push for something and it’s completely backfired?

It’s a bit of a lesson in patience, really and man, I think most of us could use that lesson.

Sit back and just see how things unfold, if it’s mean to be, it will be.

4. Solutions will emerge

Don’t overthink things wondering ‘what if’ because that moment of absolute certainty rarely arrives.

As in point three, just sit back and see how things unfold.

There will always be a solution, even though it may not be one that you’ve thought of.

5. Uncertainty is reality

Do you understand this one?

Uncertainty is life, that’s just the way things are.

We will never always know what is going to happen, we’re not meant to.

Don’t think that others never wonder, they do.

Accept it.

6. Embrace it.

Truly embrace life.

The ups and downs.

Give thanks every day that you are alive and that you’re able to experience so many different emotions and events.

Live life to the fullest.
