February 2015 Newsletter
Hello again everyone,
Well, we have survived Christmas and New Year, for me it was quite sad as my beautiful grandmother passed away the week before Christmas, even though it was something that we all knew would happen it is still so sad to lose someone that you love.
I’m sure now all the mums and dads will be getting their children ready for school – for those that live in the Northern Hemisphere – we do things all differently to you! Because Christmas is in our summer that’s when the kids have their big summer break so coming to the end of January they are getting ready for the new school year. Just a suggestion, every now and then put a little note into your child’s lunchbox telling them how much you love them, or some other words of encouragement, they do enjoy getting them.
So, how are you going with your New Year’s resolution? Hopefully you have set yourself a goal that is attainable and are slowly working towards that.
I have turned my one day workshop ‘Developing your Intuition’ into a workbook that you will be able to purchase from me, by the end of February, I am hoping, not sure as yet, if I will publish it as a ‘proper’ book at this stage or just bind them myself, this allows everyone the chance to have a go, you don’t have to come to me and attend the workshop, so keep an eye out on my Facebook page about when it is available – or you can just wait until next month’s newsletter.
Next month I am hoping to add a few different things to this newsletter – just to keep things interesting and try and touch on a number of different topics.
It’s Never too late to …… learn to be patient
We all live in a world that is constantly changing – things are forever being upgraded and new versions seem to come out every couple of months, this makes us live in a very fast paced world, where instant decisions need to be made where we start to think we have to have instant gratification. Slow down. Before making a decision just give yourself time to consider all the options, if you miss out on that ‘bargain’ because of this, then it wasn’t meant to be. We need to live calmer and take time to breathe. Make sure you do that.

A message from the Goddess Kathumi, from Nathan Star
“It’s the beginning of a new solar cycle and what a joy it is! It is a beginning of an end and the end of a beginning. Ideally speaking, it marks the time of letting go and moving forward, in the sense of realising what committments you desire to make for yourself this year and beginning to notice what needs to be done in order to get well and truly on your way. It takes time to realise this, and in doing so, comes the art of silence from the outside world to communication with the inner world. It involves going backwards and forwards and into stillness, to find one’s innermost desires and the stillness comes following to decide and act upon the guidance that follows. You are well and truly wise enough and adequately prepared for all that life offers you. Remain focused and soon enough you’ll see how your small efforts today contribute to the bigger picture of tomorrow.”

Feng Shui – Basics
I thought I would bring to my newsletters some little bits and pieces of Feng Shui, which is pronounced Foong Schway.
Last month we touched on how to help in regards to prosperity and this month we will look at using Feng Shui to purchase land / build a house.
When going to purchase an existing home or just a vacant block of land, the best shape is a rectangle or square a block with greater depth than width promotes family stability and it’s better for wedge-shaped blocks to widen at the back, wherever possible, choose a block with a higher rear area as this protects the residents. If possible try and avoid odd shapes where it looks like a piece is missing, like an L shape or triangle shape.
The ideal place for a house is in a central position facing the street at a straight angle – except if you have an L Shaped block. If your house is set at cross angles you will often fight with your neighbours and a hedge or flagpole needs to be placed between the two houses.
When buying a property always trust your first impression – that feeling you get upon seeing it, look for a site that you love passionately rather than making a logical comparison.
Next week – some Feng Shui tips on what to look for when buying a property / land.
Amber by Katrina-Jane:-
I was advised by my spirit guides to touch on Amber in this newsletter, while walking the dog one morning! Now, strictly speaking Amber isn’t a gemstone at all but is actually a fossilized resin. Amber is what is termed a solar stone… and almost always feels warm, though such beautiful jewellery has been made from it that it is sold as a gemstone. It has wonderful metaphysical properties for psychic protection. It is also a powerful healing stone that gives the person who wears it a calming sense of health and healing. It balances the emotions, clears the mind and releases negative energy, it can aid manifestation and as it clears the mind it eases stress by clearing away phobias and fears. Amber is reputed to cleanse the blood… as well as helping to move energy around the body. This is why it has such wonderful abilities to ease pain in joints and ligaments and energize the endocrine system… creating good healing outcomes in the stomach area.
Services that I offer:
Courses/Workshops with Katrina-Jane
Next newsletter I should have a couple of dates set for my workshops if you are interested in booking in and as mentioned the workbook should be available in the next couple of weeks if you are unable to attend a workshop.
PARTIES for a big group – hens’ day, baby showers – this is where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc. and it is $25 per reading these readings are not recorded because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish, I am also happy for them to record on their phones.
GROUP OF FRIENDS – I have had numerous enquiries about parties and how many people you need to host one. It obviously depends on where you live – if you live about an hour from Newcastle CBD, I would need a minimum of 8 people having 15 minute readings ($25 each) if you want to have ½ hour readings ($50 each) then a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people would be appreciated. If you live within a 2 – 2.5 hour drive, then a fee of $50+ to cover travel costs will be required, depending on how far you are away. And it would be a minimum of 6 x ½ hour readings and a maximum of 8. I am also okay with a mix of readings as in some having ½ hour and others 15 minutes. These are all recorded and emailed to you within 24 hours.
TYPES OF READINGS –
EMAILED – this allows you to ask 6 one topic questions – $50
ONE QUESTION – this is a one question, one topic reading – $10
THREE QUESTIONS – you are able to ask three one topic questions – $30
ONE CARD TAROT – I shuffle and pull one card for you and give you an individual reading as per what the card says and what I am guided to give, no question required – $10

IN PERSON READING – this is for a ½ hour reading face to face with me – $50
TELEPHONE READING – a half our reading with me directly for ½ hour, available for Australian residents only – $50

BABY READING – This is for the new member of the family, a general one page reading giving an outline of their personality, areas of interest and things they may achieve and also some hints in regards to the more negative aspects of their personality and how to understand them.
