It’s a question that I’ve been asked many a time since becoming a ‘full-time’ clairvoyant!

In all honesty, I do believe that it’s a very personal thing.

When doing live crowd readings, as in standing up on a stage or say in a spiritualist church I know some clairvoyants like to ‘raise the energy’.  They get everyone to clap, and some like fast paced songs, again to lift the vibration up.

I’m sure that there are plenty of clairvoyants who would use a similar technique before doing a reading in person.

They may burn a special kind of incense that helps clear the energies in the air, especially between clients.

Others may have certain crystals that they wear or hold.  I know that I have a pink crystal in a ring, and I have no idea what type it is! But it has a little fairy in it.  You can see her face and I used to always wear it when I did psychic fairs. I have no idea why, but she just gave me a sense of calm.

Some clairvoyants will meditate prior to doing readings, again, to clear their mind and change their energies.

So, with all that and all the options what do I do?

I usually sit down and close my eyes.

I then do a quick check of my chakras and if any of them feel a bit ‘off’.  Then I’ll take the time to balance them.

I then draw light from the Source down from the heavens into the top of my head and through me and out my feet to the center of Mother Earth.

Then I will draw up a beautiful grounding light, a dark red up from the Centre of Mother Earth and up through my feet, my body and out my crown chakra and up to the Source.

This keeps the connection for information but also keeps me grounded.

Then I will just say something along the lines of “thank you for this gift, let everything that come through me be from you.  Let the information be accurate as much as it can be and may it all be given with love”.

And that’s it.

I don’t connect when I’m out and about.  I want to just enjoy myself and not get messages for people.

The main thing is, that you find a routine that fits with who you are, rather than copying someone else’s because you think that it’s ‘right’.

It has to work for you…. that’s the main thing!
