How to Meditate on Your Third Eye
Meditating on your third eye isn’t difficult.
I’m going to share with you a way that I learnt to do it and what works for me.
Just remember that everyone is different in what feels ‘right’ for them.
So, if this doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t mean that you can’t do it, you just need to find the way that suits you.
Your third eye is also known as the brow chakra.
Your third eye is located in the middle of your forehead just above your eyes.
It’s not really an ‘eye’! It’s an energy centre.
When your third eye is ‘open’ it allows you to ‘see’ or perceive that which is beyond the physical.
Sounds pretty mystical, doesn’t it?!
Meditating on your third eye starts the same as any mediation.
Get yourself into a comfortable position, some like to sit in the lotus position, others in an armchair.
Maybe you like to just lie down on the floor.
Whatever way you choose, make sure you can stay in the position for at least 10-15 minutes.
Let’s start the meditation on your third eye!
Close your eyes and visualise a beam of energy or light coming down from the cosmos.
I don’t go all in for the ‘white’ light, pick whatever colour you feel is right for you.
Just FYI the colour of the third eye is dark purple / indigo.
Visualise that beam of light traveling through your body to the souls of your feet and out down to the centre of the earth.
The from the centre of the earth visualise a beam of energy going back up to the cosmos the same way.
The common colour for grounding (centre of the earth) is red, but again, you may want to use a brown to represent the earth.
Then you bring your awareness to your third eye area.
All your doing is focusing at this point.
As you do so, you may feel a tingling in this area, almost like your third eye is starting to wake up.
I want you to try and ‘see’ your third eye.
It may be just an energy centre for you.
Or you may see an actual eye!
For some of you, you may feel that you’re looking through your third eye out to the world.
Others may see the eye looking back at you.
Just a reminder that there’s no wrong or right!
This is where it becomes a bit fun.
I like to visualise using some eye drops to get the eye nice and clear!
You do whatever feels natural or right for you.
When you’re ready you can just ‘close’ the eye if you want to.
And bring your awareness to your body and then come out of the meditation.
Nothing may happen the first time you do it.
Hell, nothing may happen for a couple of months!
From memory I think I did take a couple of months to actually see something and feel the energies.
I also didn’t do it every day either!
That my friends, is a very simple, little way of meditating on your third eye.
Let me know how you go!
Love & light
