How you see yourself
Stop it, stop it right now, all those thoughts in your head that run yourself down, needing to lose weight, not pretty enough, not tall enough, not short enough, boobs not big enough, muscles not big enough, going bald, curly hair, straight hair – all of it never good enough in your eyes. It just doesn’t make sense, why are you calling yourself ugly and running yourself down? You know why it doesn’t make sense? Because you don’t truly see yourself, never. You don’t see what other people see, you don’t see yourself curled up in bed, fast asleep at peace with your chest gently rising and falling, you don’t see yourself when you’re reading a book, your eyes lit up with excitement or filled with tears at the depth of the story, you don’t see yourself when you’re looking at someone with love in your eyes that flows from your heart, when you’re laughing and enjoying yourself from the depths of your soul, there is no mirror in your way for you to look into, you don’t see yourself when you’re showing compassion to someone and others see the caring and love that you possess. You don’t see any of that, you just stand in front of a mirror ripping yourself to pieces. The body isn’t what makes us beautiful, it’s our soul, our personality, our love, compassion and caring, the glow that comes from our eyes and hearts, the smile that lights up a face.
You would understand and know just how bright and beautiful you are when you are relaxed and just being yourself and seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes.
