Judging others
It is so easy to judge other people, we are almost trained to do this by society / the media. Someone is either too fat / thin / short / tall / wrong skin colour / tattoo’s / no tattoo’s / piercing / no piercing / too fashion conscious / not fashion conscious enough etc the list is endless on how we have been programmed to judge others. It’s so easy to do, a quick look and an internal criticism, sometimes we can create, in the blink of an eye, an entire story for them on first glance, but so many of us would be amazed at the pain and tears that hides behind every façade that we are shown. We all have an image that we want people to see, and rarely ever do we expose our inner selves. What a person shows to the world is a tiny tip of the iceberg of who they really are, the rest is hidden. And just like an iceberg, their souls are lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their being. Never judge. Always be the first to smile at someone it doesn’t matter if they don’t smile back. Respect everyone you see and meet until their actions prove you shouldn’t, because not everyone is nice. Acknowledge that everyone has feelings and a right to those feelings. Be kind to one another. Remember that your feelings aren’t the only ones that matter, they’re important but no more important to anyone else’s. Never judge a book by its cover because if you do that, then others will be doing it to you. Have you met someone that on first impressions you weren’t too impressed with, but upon getting to know them realized what a wonderful soul that they were?
