My New Years Resolution
Well, it’s the end of the year for 2012 and what a year it has been. We usually take this time to make a New Year’s Resolution that most of us keep for about a week! I am going to create a vision board of all the things I would like to achieve or do for myself this year and put it in a prominent place to remind me, otherwise I’ll get caught up with work and the like and forget to look after myself.
I hate to confess this, but yes, I’m one of those people that tends to ignore the messages from my angels and guides …. For the past couple of years they have been saying SLOW DOWN I know it and they know I know it and so they do what they do best to make be stop, I had a hysterectomy which was sudden and unexpected and that put me out of action for a week – but yep, you guessed it, I was back doing readings for people a week after my major operation!!! I wasn’t allowed to drive or do anything for myself for 6 weeks, but I was back at work. Didn’t get it, did I? Then at then end of 2011 I was involved in a car accident – I was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure in regards to spinal injuries, but I was fine except for horrid whiplash that lasted for 6 weeks, but yep, back at work within a couple of weeks….. and then this year as most of you know I got a pinched nerve in my shoulder, again, I had a week off and then soldiered on.
So, I am now stating that I GET IT!! I need to look after myself, not sit on my computer from 7am in the morning till 6pm at night replying to emails and personal messages on Facebook, wearing myself out trying to answer everyone’s queries etc.
This year, I am going to make sure I have a holiday and not leave it 3 years like last time, I am going to have some nice weekends away with my very understanding husband, I am going to learn some new things just because I want to but most of all, I am going to be kind to myself and no beat myself up if all I want to do one afternoon is sit down and read a book.
Please do the same for yourselves, whatever your resolution is, make a vision board (lots of pictures of what you want to see / achieve or do) and place it somewhere that you will forever see it so that you continually remind yourself of what you wanted for 2013.
At this time of year, we all want something and I will end off with what I want….
I want everyone that is sick to be healed;
I want children with no families to be adopted;
I want people to never have to worry about food, shelter, heat and clothing;
I want everyone to experience the love of someone who loves them unconditionally as they are;
I want people to take the time and wonder at the beauty of nature;
I want all animals to be treated kindly;
But most of all, I want people to start caring and be kind to one another.
May 2013 be all that you wish it to be.
