Hello Everyone,

As I write this New South Wales rural bushfire volunteers are fighting a number of huge and devastating fires that are raging through the Blue Mountains and also up here near me in the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens areas.  I would just like to take a moment to thank those volunteers that give so freely of their time, not just to fight fires, but to keep food and drinks up to the fire fighters, those who rescue and look after animals, the people that have donated food, clothing and furnishings to those that have lost everything in the fires.  You are all such wonderful people.

In the 2001 fires we had a fire that came very close to our property – I rang the Captain of the Rural fire Service in our area and said, just let it burn, to me it was all just ‘stuff’ some irreplaceable yes, but I would rather not let the fire fighters put their lives at risk to save my place, let them concentrate on someone else’s because I just don’t have that much attachment to my stuff.

Well, who can believe that Christmas is just around the corner, again!  If you are trying to think of a gift for the person that has everything or maybe something just a little bit different here are some suggestions:-

It’s Never too Late:

To forgive, whether this is forgiving ourselves for something that we may have said or done, or forgiving a hurt done to us, you don’t have to face the person but holding onto that hurt stops us from moving forward and living our lives in happiness, it’s not always a simple thing to do but one technique that I have found very useful is writing a letter to the person who has caused you hurt, now it may take you a month of re-writing, correcting until you have it just the way you want, you’ve put all your hurt and anger into this letter and then when you’re ready, light some candles, and then light the letter, burn it and as you watch the smoke going up into the sky release all the pain around the situation and send it off to the angels, or god, or whomever you believe in and ask them to take it from you because it’s no longer yours.

Feng Shui – Basics

Green Aventurine – A Crystal for our Times

Greetings everyone. Well life is handing me an adventure right now, and so I was guided to talk about a popular crystal that most of us are drawn to when we first begin collecting crystals; Adventurine.

Aventurine is a variety of Quartz which has within it tiny flecks of Mica or other minerals that give it a shimmering, or glistening effect . Its name is derived from the Italian a ventura or all’avventura, meaning “by chance,” and refers to the Italian glass from the 1700s, produced when a worker accidentally dropped metal filings into a vat of melting glass. Once cooled, the result was pleasing with its randomly spaced iridescent sparkles, and it was used to make necklaces and other items.

Aventurine is a form of Quartz and resonates with the Heart Chakra.

Aventurine is a wonderful healing companion for everyone, however elements of its composition align strongly with those born under the signs of  – Aries and Leo.

Aventurine is found in shades of orange, brown, yellow, and blue. However Green Aventurine is known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” thought to be the luckiest of all crystals, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth, or for increasing favour in competitions or games of chance. Its winning energy makes it a great ally for boosting one’s chances in any situation – a first date, tax audit, even landing a promotion. You only needs  to be near it to derive its benefits.

This beautiful stone, however, is not just about good luck, but one that aligns conditions so “opportunity” is inevitable. Green Aventurine releases old patterns, habits and disappointments so new growth can take place. It brings optimism and a zest for life, allowing us to move forward with confidence and to embrace change. It enhances our creativity and motivation, and encourages perseverance in manoeuvring life’s obstacles. It also assists decisiveness and amplifies leadership qualities, injecting a sense of humour and openness to the ideas of others.

Aventurine relieves stammers and severe neuroses.  It stabilises a person’s state of mind, stimulates perception and enhances creativity.  It is a wonderful stone in helping people to see alternatives and possibilities, calms anger, and irritation.  Aventurine promotes an overall feeling of well-being, and balances male-female energy.

On the physical body level, Aventurine benefits the thymus gland and nervous system, balances blood pressure and stimulates the metabolism, lowering cholesterol.  It also has an anti-inflammatory effect and eases skin eruptions, allergies, migraines, and soothes the eyes.  It heals lungs, sinuses, heart, muscular and renal systems. Overall, this crystal is soothing and delightful to hold and look at, and I hope you enjoy it’s many benefits in your life.

Services that I offer:

PSYCHIC PARTIES – I do party groups where everyone has as 15 minute reading – this is lots of fun for baby showers, birthdays, hens nights etc and it’s just $25 per reading.  These readings aren’t burnt to disc because there are usually too many people and it just takes up too much time, but I am able to take notes or the person having the reading can take them if they wish. It obviously depends on where you live – if you live about an hour from Newcastle CBD, I would need a minimum of 10 people having 15 minute readings ($20 each) if you want to have ½ hour readings ($50 each) then a minimum of 4 people would be appreciated.  At this stage I don’t charge to travel to the party, I am literally only charging for the readings.

FUNDRAISING – I’ve also done a few fundraisers, again which I am happy to do to help a good cause – I usually give a percentage of my takings for the day to help raise funds.

GROUP OF FRIENDS – If you don’t want to go the whole hog with a psychic party but there are four or so friends that would like half hour readings, I will visit you in your home – as long as it’s within a certain radius of Newcastle!  As long as I have a private spot to sit and water to drink, I’m happy!!!

Types of readings:

I offer a few different ways to have a reading, they are all ½ hour and
cost $50AU:-

1.            Face to face – where you come into my room here at Newcastle and your reading is recorded and burnt to disc at no extra charge.

2.            Telephone – for those that live in Australia

3.            SKYPE – for those anywhere in the world!

4.            Emailed reading – for those that find it difficult to come in for a reading or line a time up for a phone reading or SKYPE.

5.            Mini reading – one question only.

All readings are just as effective as the other, a face to face reading is no different from a phone reading, I just offer all of the above for your convenience.
