I had someone ask about the afterlife and if the people there care about us here.
In short the answer is yes!
To start with, what I believe happens is that when we die our spirit goes to a special place, I’m not a stickler for ‘the rules’ so if you want to refer to it as Heaven, The Spirit World or maybe the Higher Realm, seriously just call it whatever floats your boat and you’re comfortable with, I just don’t get caught up in the whole – “you have to go through so many levels in the spirit world to attain greatness” kind of thing and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. I simply believe that we keep coming back so that we can experience all of the things that a human can experience which then allows us to move up to Angel status rather than just spirit guide.
So, I’ve gone off topic… when our spirit gets to heaven, we have such a greater understanding of all that has happened in our life, why things have happened and what we still need to learn and as I have explained before they will come and visit you, they can hear you talking to them and they can see how sad you are that they have gone.
However, they know that it was their time, regardless of how old they were and how they passed it was what was meant to be, as difficult as that is for us as humans to understand.
I’ve never had anyone come through who has said ‘geez, I hate it over here’ because they just don’t think like humans anymore, they’ve stepped up a notch.
As I have mentioned in another blog, you can ask your loved ones for messages or signs so that they can let you know that they are around – and they do! They want you to have comfort and not to grieve forever for them, they understand that we miss them but they also know that life goes on.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that they have no sentimental attachment to any of their stuff that they have left behind. So, if you inherited grandma’s ring but you don’t want to wear it because it’s not really your style, they re-set it! They’d rather you wear it and remember them than shoved in a draw. They also don’t get upset if you lose something that they gave you – they don’t have any attachment remember, so if you lose that ring that grandma gave you, while you’ll be upset that it has happened she isn’t going to be up there in the spirit world fuming that you’ve lost it.
They are in such a wonderful space up there. They are out of pain and love you to know that they are alright and it is ok to move on with your life.
I hope that this has given some comfort to those of you that have lost a loved one.
